Rapper Cardi B has announced that she is expecting her fourth child, this time with her boyfriend, NFL wide receiver Stefon Diggs.
The Bronx-born star revealed the news during an interview with Gayle King on CBS Mornings, where she also discussed her upcoming second album Am I The Drama? and her recently unveiled Little Miss Drama arena tour.
“I’m having a baby with my boyfriend Stefon Diggs,” Cardi said in the interview released Wednesday, September 17. The New England Patriots player and the rapper went public with their relationship earlier this year. She added that the baby is due before her tour kicks off in February.
Cardi described herself as being in a positive space, saying she feels “strong and powerful” balancing work and pregnancy, while highlighting the mutual support in her relationship with Diggs.
The pregnancy comes after her split from rapper Offset, with whom she shares three children, daughters Kulture and Blossom, and son Wave. Their highly publicized breakup marked the end of a turbulent relationship.
Speaking on her new romance, Cardi said Diggs gives her a sense of safety and stability. “He just makes me feel safe and very confident and very strong,” she explained, revealing that she recently battled anxiety over the pressures of her album rollout and public scrutiny.
