In a deadly attack late Friday night, September 5, 2025, suspected bandits ambushed C-Watch security operatives in Magaji Wando village, Dandume Local Government Area of Katsina State.
The assailants killed eight people and set two patrol vehicles on fire.The incident occurred around midnight when gunmen invaded the village, prompting a distress call.
C-Watch operatives responded swiftly, rescuing eight villagers who had sustained gunshot injuries.
However, as the team was returning, the bandits ambushed them, opening fire and k!lling the rescued victims.
The attackers also torched two of the security outfit’s patrol vehicles.
