A uniformed police officer was caught on camera extorting money from a commercial bus driver, prompting a sharp rebuke from a senior colleague.
In the viral video, the junior officer is seen collecting cash to allow the driver to continue his journey.
A man, believed to be a senior police officer, witnessed the incident from his vehicle and confronted the junior officer.
He accused him of tarnishing the police force’s reputation and questioned whether he had purchased anything from the driver, to which the junior officer replied he had not.
The senior officer ordered him to return the money to the bus driver, who had been forced to park by the roadside, before delivering a stern scolding.
