A crowd believed to be supporters of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, on Wednesday welcomed former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai to Chikun Local Government Area of the state.
The supporters seen with SDP flag rallied around El-Rufai as
he drove among them.
Posting videos, El-Rufai wrote: “KADUNA UPDATE: Earlier
today at Kujama, Chikun Local Government. Alhamdulillah. Overwhelmed by the
warmth and acceptance of the ADC.”
El-Rufai recently moved to the SDP from the All Progressives
Congress, APC.
Prior to his movement, the former governor had accused the
APC of lacking internal democracy.
While in SDP, El-Rufai is also a key member of the
opposition coalition that adopted the African Democratic Congress, APC.
