President Tinubu Mourns Chief Audu Ogbeh

President Bola Tinubu has expressed deep condolences to the government and people of Benue State, as well as the family, friends, and associates of Chief Audu Ogbeh, a former Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) who passed away at the age of 78.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, on Saturday, President Tinubu described Chief Ogbeh as a patriot whose intellectual contributions and dedication to Nigeria’s progress left a lasting legacy.

“Chief Audu Ogbeh was a patriot whose wisdom, dedication, and pursuit of progress left an indelible mark on Nigeria’s political landscape. He was always ready with facts and figures to support his propositions. The nation will sorely miss his insightful perspectives and wealth of experience,” the President said.

Chief Ogbeh, who began his political career in the 1970s as a legislator, served Nigeria notably as Minister of Communications during the Second Republic and later as Minister of Agriculture under President Muhammadu Buhari.

A founding member of the APC, Ogbeh was recognized for his ability to offer practical solutions to complex national challenges, particularly in policy formulation.

President Tinubu prayed for the peaceful repose of the deceased and divine comfort for his family.
