Police release Omoyele Sowore after 48 hours in detention

The Police have released popular human rights activist and politician, Omoyele Sowore.

Sowore was released at about 8 pm on Friday evening.

Announcing his freedom during a Facebook live session, Sowore said: “Hello ladies and gentlemen, this is me here. I have just been released by the police.

“You know we told them that they can’t sustain this but them no dey hear word. I have just been released from detention after 48 hours by the illegal IGP and his people”.

Sowore was detained on Wednesday after honoring police invite.
