PHOTOS: Ganduje Pays Condolence Visit to Successor Yilwatda

 In a heartfelt gesture, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), visited the current National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, to offer his condolences following the passing of Prof. Yilwatda’s mother, Mama Lydia Yilwatda. 


The visit, which took place on Wednesday , reflected the spirit of camaraderie and unity within the APC leadership.


Dr. Ganduje, accompanied by a delegation of party stalwarts, expressed deep sympathy to Prof. Yilwatda and his family during the somber meeting at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja. 


He described Mama Lydia as a matriarch whose life exemplified strength, wisdom, and devotion to family and community. 


“Her loss is not just to the Yilwatda family but to all who knew her impact,” Ganduje said, urging the family to find solace in her enduring legacy.Prof. 


Yilwatda, visibly moved, thanked Dr. Ganduje for his support and kind words, noting that the visit reinforced the APC’s commitment to standing together in times of joy and sorrow. 


“Mama Lydia lived a life of service, and we are comforted by the love shown by our party family,” he remarked.


The condolence visit also provided an opportunity for both leaders to reflect on the party’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its unity and prepare for future challenges. 


Party members present praised the gesture as a symbol of solidarity within the APC.Mama Lydia Yilwatda’s passing has drawn tributes from across Nigeria, with many praising her role as a pillar of support for her son’s political journey and her contributions to her community. 


Funeral arrangements are yet to be announced by the family.
