In a significant move to advance technological collaboration, Nigeria and Brazil have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) focused on science, technology, and innovation.
The agreement was formalized at a ceremony attended by Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva at the Planalto Palace in BrasÃlia.
Nigeria’s Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Chief Uche Nnaji, announced the milestone on X on Tuesday, August 26.
He stated, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva witnessed the signing of a transformative MoU between Nigeria’s Chief Uche Nnaji and Brazil’s Luciana Santos.
This partnership, spanning biotechnology, space research, digital transformation, and energy transition, marks a bold stride in South-South cooperation, fostering jobs, industries, and innovation for both nations.”
