Hon. Kabiru Mai Palace, a member of the House of Representatives and Chairman of the House Committee on Sports, inaugurated the renovation of 80 cemeteries across the Gusau/Tsafe Federal Constituency in Zamfara State as part of his constituency projects.
The initiative, marking his second-year anniversary as a second-term lawmaker, aims to address the dilapidated state of cemeteries in various communities.
Speaking at the inauguration, Mai Palace emphasized the universal inevitability of death, stating, “All humans will end up in the grave when their time comes. As such, we must ensure our final resting places are in good condition.”
He highlighted the cultural and religious significance of maintaining cemeteries, noting that in Islam, well-kept cemeteries help prevent societal calamities and disasters.
The project includes engaging cemetery guards, providing workers’ allowances, and supplying necessary tools to ensure proper upkeep.
Mai Palace’s initiative reflects his commitment to improving community infrastructure and honoring the sanctity of burial grounds in Gusau and Tsafe Local Government Areas.
The lawmaker pledged to continue supporting the constituency through meaningful projects, urging residents to value the efforts to enhance their “last home.”
