Gunmen, believed to be herdsmen, k!lled three people and injured four others in a violent attack on Gwon-Rim village, Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State, on Wednesday morning, August 13, 2025.
Over 50 heavily armed assailants stormed the village, firing indiscriminately, according to reports.Hon. Sati Bature Shuwa, Executive Chairman of Riyom Local Government Area, visited the scene for an on-the-spot assessment.
Condemning the attack as "unacceptable," Shuwa urged residents to remain calm and directed security agencies to pursue and apprehend the perpetrators.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to protecting lives and property.
The Chairman also visited victims receiving treatment in a local hospital, offering condolences and support to those injured in the attack.
