Aminu Tambuwal, former governor of Sokoto State, has been released from the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The anti-graft agency invited and detained Tambuwal on Monday, August 11, over allegations of fraudulently withdrawing N189 billion during his tenure as governor.
According to sources within the EFCC, Tambuwal was granted administrative bail and is expected to leave the commission’s headquarters Tuesday night after fulfilling his bail conditions.
