The Federal Government has approved the promotion of 51 Deputy Corps Commanders (DCC) to Corps Commanders (CC) and 49 Assistant Corps Commanders (ACC) to Deputy Corps Commanders (DCC) in a significant exercise to strengthen the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).
According to a statement by Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM) Olusegun Ogungbemide, Corps Public Education Officer, on Thursday in Abuja.
Senator George Akume, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), hailed the promotions as a milestone in advancing the Corps’ commitment to excellence and professionalism.
He praised the transparent, merit-based process and urged the newly promoted officers to intensify efforts toward eliminating road traffic crashes and ensuring safer roads nationwide.
FRSC Corps Marshal Malam Shehu Mohammed congratulated the officers, noting that their promotions reflect their dedication and performance.
He emphasized the increased responsibilities tied to their new ranks and called for sustained discipline and integrity.
Mohammed also encouraged officers not promoted in this cycle to remain committed, assuring them of future opportunities.
The Corps Marshal reaffirmed his focus on improving staff welfare and urged all personnel to contribute to the FRSC’s strategic goals and safety mandate.
