President Bola Tinubu has described his longtime ally and friend, Tanko Yakasai, as the conscience of Nigeria.
Tinubu said Yakassai is an elder statesman and leader of a
national movement.
He disclosed this in Kano State on Friday while paying a
condolence visit to the family of late businessman, Aminu Dantata.
Dantata died in June in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates
and was buried in the Islamic holy city of Madinah.
The deceased was a well respected Northern icon and a
renowned industrialist.
Speaking during the visit, Tinubu said: “Our father and friend,
Alhaji Tanko Yakasai, thank you, sir. You are an elder, leader of a national
movement, and the conscience of our country.”
Meanwhile, Tinubu said Dantata, was a highly generous
philanthropist who is always in the market place giving foods to the hungry
ones.
