Minister of Art, Culture, and the Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, has hit back at Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed for his comments on Vice President Kashim Shettima.
Datti Baba-Ahmed, the vice presidential candidate of the
Labour Party, LP, in the 2023 general election, had slammed Shettima,
suggesting that there are many unspoken truths about the Nigerian Vice
president.
Appearing on Arise News a week ago, the LP VP candidate was
asked to speak on the insinuation that President Bola Tinubu has reopened the
VP slot ahead of 2027.
Baba-Ahmed, in his response, said that Tinubu has
demonstrated a rare patience for him to have kept Shettima for this long.
He said Tinubu should not have allowed Shettima to remain in
office as Vice President for this long.
Baba-Ahmed refrained from going into specifics, but
emphasised that anyone who knows what Shettima did will not even allow him to
stay for long.
Responding to the claims on Arise News on Wednesday night,
Hannatu Musawa lambasted the LP chieftain, describing his insinuations as
dangerous.
“What was he trying to say? I didn’t understand what he was
trying to say.
“He was making insinuations, very dangerous insinuations
based on lies, and I think it’s a real shame. I think Datti needs to apologize
to VP (Shettima),” she said.
