Wrestling Legend Hulk Hogan De@d At 71

Wrestling icon Terry Gene Bollea, known as Hulk Hogan, died at 71 on July 24, 2025, in Clearwater, Florida, from cardiac arrest, according to TMZ Sports and the Clearwater Police Department.

The WWE Hall of Famer, who defined “Hulkamania” in the 1980s, transformed professional wrestling into a global phenomenon.

Hogan headlined multiple WrestleManias, won 12 world championships, and became a pop culture icon with roles in Rocky III and Hogan Knows Best.

Hogan’s health had been a concern in recent years. He underwent numerous surgeries due to wrestling-related injuries, including a spinal fusion in 2010 after unsuccessful procedures at the Laser Spine Institute, which led to a $50 million malpractice lawsuit.

His controversial 2015 racial slur scandal briefly saw him removed from the WWE Hall of Fame, but he was reinstated in 2020.

Tributes have been flooding the social media space, with WWE calling him a pivotal figure in wrestling’s rise and Ric Flair praising him as a friend and talent.

Hogan is survived by his wife, Sky Daily, and children, Brooke and Nick.
