President Bola Tinubu has admitted he could not watch the final of the 2004 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations because he was scared of developing high blood pressure.
Tinubu revealed this while hosting the Super Falcons at Aso
Villa on Monday evening.
“Honestly, I did not want to watch the match. I didn’t want
high blood pressure.
“But people came into my room and turned on my TV to that
channel.
“When it was 2-0, I got very restless and very offended. But
I was still there watching.
“I was impressed by the indomitable spirit of resilience,
determination and courage of the team,” he said.
"Honestly, I didn't want to watch the match initially because I dont want High Blood Pressure (HBP) but when some people came in and turned on my TV, I started watching. And when it got 2-0 against us, I was offended, then we scored 1, I became assured. And we scored 3 goals. pic.twitter.com/6aiRF2IUC7
