A trailer crash along Bauchi Road in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State has left at least three people injured.
The accident occurred on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, when a front tyre of the trailer bursted, causing the driver to lose control. The vehicle, which was headed to Bauchi, veered off the road and slammed into a residential building.
The impact of the crash caused significant damage to the building. Eyewitnesses reported that it took nearly an hour to rescue the victims, including the badly injured driver.
All three injured individuals have been taken to the hospital for treatment. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) confirmed the incident, with spokesperson Peter Yakubu Longsang stating that the trailer has been removed and normal traffic has resumed.
The FRSC may investigate the cause of the accident and take steps to prevent similar incidents in the future.
