A devastating road accident on Monday, July 28, along the Eliozu–Rumuokoro Road in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, claimed the lives of at least five students from the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT).
According to reports, the students were commuting in a shuttle bus that collided with a stationary trailer.
Footage from the scene captured officers of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) recovering bodies from the wreckage and transferring them into a van.
The tragic incident has left the university community in mourning, with authorities yet to release further details on the cause of the crash or the identities of the victims.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances leading to the accident.
