The ADC has continued to share its commitment to reclaiming power for Nigerians through democratic, peaceful, and credible means.
The new political coalition, that's uniting prominent figures including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi, ex-Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi, former Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola, former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, in a joint statement posted on their official X page on Wednesday, criticized the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), accusing it of relying on rigging, violence, intimidation, and governance failures.
The group emphasized unity and purpose as its core strengths, urging members to avoid divisive or hateful rhetoric.
The coalition’s formation signals a significant realignment in Nigeria’s political landscape as it prepares to challenge the APC in the 2027 general elections.
The post reads;
"Atiku, Peter Obi, Rotimi Amaechi, Rauf Aregbesola, Nasir El-Rufai, and our Interim National Chairman are united in this coalition.
"We are committed to a common goal: reclaiming power for the people through democratic, peaceful, and credible means.
"Those we seek to replace are united in rigging, violence, intimidation, and failure.
"Let us remain focused and avoid any divisive or hateful rhetoric. Our strength lies in unity and purpose".
