Nigerian singer Speed Darlington has sued the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) for declaring him wanted over alleged r@pe of a minor.
He's demanding N3 billion in damages, claiming NAPTIP's actions were unlawful and defamatory.
Speed Darlington filed the suit (FHC/ABJ/CS/1354/2025) at the Federal High Court in Abuja on July 9, 2025.
NAPTIP declared Speed Darlington wanted after allegations he confessed to s3xual involvement with a minor during an Instagram Live session.
He claims his statements were a publicity stunt for his music, not an admission of guilt.
Speed Darlington is also asking for a perpetual injunction to stop NAPTIP from enforcing the "wanted" declaration.
