Reuben Abati slams Kemi Badenoch: ‘You’re hypocrite, leave bad Nigeria alone’

A former presidential aide and a popular media personality, Reuben Abati has described Kemi Badenoch as a hypocrite.

He said that the British politician is trying to be politically correct when she lamented the difficulty she’s facing in transferring her Nigerian citizenship to her kids.

Kemi, the leader of the Conservative Party in the UK, during the weekend, claimed she cannot confer her Nigerian citizenship on her kids because she is a woman.

Badenoch was speaking on Sunday with CNN’s Fareed Zakaria, where she compared the immigration policies of Nigeria and Britain.

According to Badenoch, immigrants often exploit the British system in a way they would not do back in their home countries.

To further buttress her point, Badenoch referenced her children’s inability to obtain Nigerian citizenship.

“She knows she is been all this hard-right Conservative persons and she been using anti-immigration rhetoric to be more British than the British,” Abati said during Arise TV’s daily Morning Show.

“I think it is the height of hypocrisy that she thinks her children should take Nigerian citizenship.

“She says we are not good in Nigeria, so why does she want her children to be citizens of Nigeria?”
