The African Democratic Congress, ADC, has stated that it has no preferred presidential candidate.
Figures such as former Vice President Atiku Abubakar,
ex-Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, and former Rivers State
Governor Rotimi Amaechi are believed to be vying for ADC’s presidential ticket.
However, none of the aforementioned individuals has publicly
declared their intention to contest under the party.
ADC’s spokesman, Bolaji Abdullahi, emphasised that the party
has no hidden agenda regarding the selection of a candidate.
Abdullahi stated that all aspiring presidential candidates
would be given a fair opportunity to secure the party’s ticket.
Addressing a press conference in Abuja, he said, “we have no
hidden agenda or preferred candidate. Everyone will have a fair chance in the
race for the party’s ticket.”
