Garba Shehu, spokesperson to former President Muhammadu
Buhari, on Wednesday launched his book, ‘According to the President: Lessons
From A Presidential Spokesman’s Experience’.
The event, held at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja,
was attended by former Vice-Presidents Atiku Abubakar, Yemi Osinbajo, and Nasir
El-Rufai, former governor of Kaduna state.
Also present were Yakubu Gowon, former military head of
state; George Akume, current secretary to the government of the federation
(SGF); Ibrahim Gambari, former chief of staff to Buhari; and Bayo Onanuga,
special adviser to President Bola Tinubu on information and strategy.
Other notable prominent Nigerians included Kayode Fayemi,
former governor of Ekiti state; Mohammed Idris, minister of information and
national orientation; Boss Mustapha, former SGF during the administration of
Buhari; Hadi Sirika, former minister of aviation; and Nduka Obaigbena,
publisher of ThisDay Newspapers and chairman of Arise News.
Shehu’s book offers insights into his experiences as
presidential spokesperson and reflects on Nigeria’s political landscape during
his tenure.
