Peter Obi visited the family of former President Muhammadu Buhari, who was laid to rest on Tuesday evening, to offer his condolences.
He was accompanied by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, in Daura, Katsina State.
Peter Obi, Atiku Abubakar, and Nasir El-Rufai visited Buhari's family to express their condolences. Peter Obi extended his condolences to Buhari's daughters and his son during the visit.
Atiku Abubakar and Nasir El-Rufai also held prayers at Buhari's grave. Peter Obi noted that despite their political differences, he respected Buhari's dignity as a leader.
