Voting has commenced at Polling Unit 007, St. Stephens Nursery and Primary School, Adeniji Adele, Lagos Island, where Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is expected to cast his vote.
Voting to elect chairmen and councillors for the local government areas began at the polling unit at 8am.
Officials of the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission arrived at the PU at the stipulated time, according to Punch.
Sanwo-Olu’s media aide, Jubril Gawat, has cast his vote at the polling unit.
Police officers were sighted at the polling unit providing security.
The local government election is currently being held in the 20 LGAs and 37 local council development areas of the state.
