The Chairman of the Lagos chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Tafa Sego, has sparked controversy with current comments asserting that Lagos State "belongs to the Yorubas" and is not a "no man’s land."
Speaking publicly, Sego expressed support for the removal of some traditional chiefs (Baales) by an Oba after they reportedly attended a political rally organised by a rival party. He insinuated that their attendance demonstrated disloyalty to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and its leadership.
He also reaffirmed his allegiance to the APC and to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
