Noor Buhari, daughter of the late former Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari, has taken to social media to mourn the passing of her father in an emotional tribute filled with sorrow and remembrance.
In a message posted on her Instagram story, Noor expressed
profound heartbreak over the death of her father, who passed away at the age of
82 in a London clinic on July 13, 2025.
“Daddy, I’m heartbroken that we won’t get to share the
moments and experiences I had planned for us,” she wrote.
Buhari, Nigeria’s former Head of State and two-term civilian
President, was laid to rest in his hometown of Daura, Katsina State, on Tuesday,
July 15, in accordance with Islamic rites.
His death has drawn reactions from across the world, with
tributes pouring in from global leaders, politicians, and citizens alike.
Accompanying her heartfelt words, Noor also offered a prayer
for her father’s soul: “I pray that you’re granted the highest place in Jannah,
and your soul rests in eternal peace.”
