Rotimi Amaechi, the former Governor of Rivers State and Minister of Transportation, has indeed arrived in Daura, Katsina State, to pay his respects to the late former President Muhammadu Buhari.
He arrived in Daura ahead of the burial, which is expected to draw dignitaries and mourners from across Nigeria. Amaechi, who served as Director-General of Buhari's campaign organization and later as Minister under his administration, was seen dressed in Northern attire for the occasion, showing respect for the former president and the local culture.
Amaechi in his tribute to the Ex-President described Buhari as a dedicated leader whose commitment to Nigeria's progress left an enduring legacy.
Amaechi highlighted Buhari's passion for improving Nigeria, particularly for uplifting the poor, during his time in office. Amaechi extended his condolences to Buhari's family, wishing the late president eternal rest.
