Farouk Aliyu, a close ally and former Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, has expressed sadness over Nigerians insulting late former President Muhammadu Buhari online after his death on July 13, 2025.
Aliyu believes it's unfortunate that some people are criticizing Buhari posthumously, despite the former president having achievements to his name. He urges Nigerians to show respect for the dead and honor Buhari's legacy.
Speaking in an interview on Channels Television, he acknowledged that Buhari, like everyone, had shortcomings, but emphasizes that he should not be denied credit for his accomplishments.
