The remains of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived the Umaru Musa Yar’ Adua Airport.
The aircraft had family members of late former President Muhammadu Buhari, including his wife Aisha Buhari, have arrived at the Umaru Musa Yar'Adua International Airport in Katsina State.
They were accompanied by a government delegation led by Vice President Kashim Shettima. The airport was bustling with dignitaries, government officials, and security forces preparing to receive the late president's remains, which arrived around midday.
President Bola Tinubu was also present to pay his respects, having led a high-powered federal delegation to receive the body. The remains were transported from London aboard the presidential aircraft.
Buhari is set to be buried in his hometown of Daura later today, following Islamic rites.
