Paul Ibe, the media aide to ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar, on Wednesday, charged Nigerians to hold President Bola Tinubu responsible for the fall outs arising from the promotion of hate by the Edo State government.
Ibe said the Tinubu-led All Progressives Congress, APC, has
resorted to hate as a policy.
His remark comes amid the public outcry following a warning
by Okpebholo to former Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi not
visit Edo State without informing him.
The warning which was perceived as a threat drew widespread
condemnation from Nigerians.
Okpebholo was accused of having disregard for the
constitution that allows freedom of movement.
But, the governor insisted he was well within his right to
issue the directive which was perceived as a threat against Obi.
However, posting on X, Ibe wrote: “Nigerians and the rest of
the world should hold the Bola Tinubu-led All Progressives Congress
administration responsible for any fallouts from this promotion of hate by the
Governor of Edo State and a cabinet member of the Tinubu government.
“It is tragic that hate is now a policy of the APC and its
shambolic government.”
