The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday, started selling nomination and expression of interest forms for aspirants vying for seats in the National Assembly bye-elections.
The elections are scheduled to take place on August 16 in 12 states, aiming to fill vacant legislative seats.
One of the aspirants, Oscar Aghedo, who is contesting for the Edo House of Representatives for Ovia South-West/North-East Federal Constituency, expressed his determination to provide adequate representation, particularly in infrastructural development, if elected. He picked up his forms at the APC's national secretariat in Abuja.
The bye-elections are necessitated by the deaths or resignations of lawmakers who have left office to pursue executive positions.
The APC's process of selling forms marks the beginning of the party's primaries and selection of candidates for the upcoming elections.
