An aide to Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo, Aghahowa Collins, has issued a warning that only the All Progressives Congress (APC) will be allowed to display political banners and posters in the state during the 2027 election cycle.
In a video he shared online, Collins declared that anyone promoting another party would face consequences, describing Edo as an APC-controlled state where all political visibility must align with the ruling party.
Collins referenced the actions of former Governor Godwin Obaseki during the 2023 general elections, accusing his administration of removing and destroying APC banners, including those of President Bola Tinubu. He claimed the same approach would be adopted in 2027 to assert the APC’s dominance in the state.
