Nigerian music star Davido has defended his family after APC chieftain Hon. Timothy Owoeye said the party's governorship ticket is not for sale to the Adeleke family.
The controversy began after Davido, his father Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, and Osun Governor Ademola Adeleke visited President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Read here.
Following the visit, Owoeye made comments suggesting the Adelekes are not welcome in the APC.
In response to Owoeye's comments, Davido mocked him, saying, "No be this guy naked for bush?" Davido's cousin Bred responded with a laughing emoji.
During a press conference in Osogbo, Owoeye stated that the APC ticket is not for sale to the Adeleke family, adding that Governor Ademola Adeleke is not part of the APC. He also hinted that the governor's intention to join the APC might be driven by fear of the unknown.
