President Bola Ahmed Tinubu yesterday hosted Queen Mary Elizabeth of Denmark at the State House in Abuja.
President Tinubu welcomed Queen Mary Elizabeth at his official residence in the company of the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.
A high-level meeting, which marked a significant diplomatic engagement between Nigeria and the Kingdom of Denmark, took place behind closed doors, but details of the discussions were not divulged last night.
Also present at the reception were the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila; the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar; and the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Alhaji Atiku Bagudu.
In the company of the Queen was the Danish Ambassador to Nigeria, Jens Ole Bach Hansen.
