"Terrorism Spikes When El-Rufai Dislikes Nigerian President?" - Reno Omokri Raises Questions

Reno Omokri, a former presidential aide, has raised eyebrows with his assertion that terrorism in Nigeria seems to surge whenever Nasir El-Rufai, former Kaduna State Governor, is displeased with the country's president.

Omokri's comments come amid a backdrop of heightened security concerns and El-Rufai's current involvement in an anti-Tinubu coalition.

In a long post on X, Omokri asserted that El-Rufai previously admitted to paying herdsmen while he was Governor of Kaduna, which some link to increased violence in the region.

He accused El-Rufai of funding terrorists attacks and threatening foreign election observers.

Read full post below:

"If you think that the sudden resurgence of suicide bombings after a lull since 2023 is coincidental, then you may as well start looking for a virgin at Moremi Hall!

"This is the same thing they tried with President Jonathan when they wanted to remove him.

"As soon as plans for their coalition began in 2013, Nigeria started witnessing a steady and gradual increase in insecurity in the North.

"As President Jonathan said then, "Terror only grows where there is local support".

"Suicide bombings started occurring. IEDs began exploding. And school abductions were introduced into our psyche.

"And then Nasir El-Rufai got elected as Governor and admitted on live television to paying killer herders and other known terrorists.

"Now, who is the most disgruntled politician in Nigeria today and the face of the so-called coalition? The same Nasir el-Rufai who confessed to paying terrorists.

"Let me break it down for you. A man who knows how to contact and pay terrorists is disgruntled and now leads an anti-Tinubu coalition. Soon after that coalition is announced, terrorists suddenly go on a resurgence.

"This is the same man who had the audacity to threaten foreign election observers that if they did not take their time, they would leave Nigeria "in body bags."

"Why is it that terrorism spikes in Nigeria when El-Rufai dislikes the Nigerian President? Maybe it is a coincidence. Perhaps it is not!"
