Rapper Illbliss raises concerns over welfare of Nigerian Youths

Rapper Illbliss has expressed concerns about the welfare of young people in Nigeria, highlighting the struggles they face in today’s society.

During a recent episode of The Real Shareholders podcast, he discussed the challenges of modern culture and its impact on the youth.

Illbliss criticised the current culture of “wokeness,” where mediocrity and lack of decision-making are celebrated, and people are allowed to live their lives without responsibility or hard work.

He shared stories of young people turning to internet fraud due to financial struggles, including one individual who resorted to fraud to buy cancer medication for his mother.

This, according to him, shows that young people are mentally defeated, tired, and just trying to survive.

He said: “This generation celebrates not just mediocrity but also lack of decision. Everything is ‘cool.’ So, under the cool theory people are allowed to overdose on drugs, they are allowed to live their lives the way they want to. They are allowed to not work and be entitled. So, there are so many things that are going on with young people these days.

“Someone was telling that he has to do fraud because salary can’t buy his cancer patient mother’s drug. So, young people are mentally defeated. They are tired. They are just doing whatever they can to keep their lives going”.
