Vice-President Kashim Shettima and Senate President Godswill Akpabio were among the All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwarts present on Saturday at the grand reception to welcome Umo Eno, governor of Akwa Ibom State, to the party.
The event took place at the Godswill Akpabio International
Stadium in Uyo, the state capital.
Umo Eno, who was elected in 2023 on the platform of the
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), defected to the APC in June.
Abdullahi Ganduje, national chairman of the APC; Babajide
Sanwo-Olu, governor of Lagos; Hope Uzodimma, governor of Imo; Sheriff
Oborevwori; governor of Delta and Usman Ododo, governor of Kogi, were also
present at the event.
