Paul Pogba Set to Return to Football with Monaco Deal

Paul Pogba is poised to make a comeback to professional football after agreeing to a two-year deal with French club, Monaco.

The midfielder's return follows an 18-month doping ban that was initially set at four years but later reduced.

The former Manchester United star, tested positive for DHEA, a substance that boosts testosterone, which is banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). Although the Court of Arbitration for Sport confirmed the substance's presence, it noted that DHEA only affects females. The ban ended earlier this year.

According to reports, Pogba took "significant financial sacrifices" to join Monaco. The two parties reportedly finalized the deal after several days of discussions. Pogba is said to have visited Monaco earlier in June to meet with club officials and plan his move, including logistics and security arrangements.

Joining Monaco will see Pogba return to the Champions League, as the Ligue 1 side finished third in the league last season. This development marks a new chapter in Pogba's career after a tumultuous period.
