In an internal memo dated June 11 and obtained by TheCable, Adedayo Modupe, Director of Human Resource Management, said the spiritual exercise is intended to invoke God’s guidance in the country’s efforts to achieve food security.
“All staff of the ministry are expected to participate in the fasting and attend the prayer sessions,” the circular stated.
Themed “Divine Intervention for Protection and National Development”, the prayer sessions will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Conference Hall B of the ministry’s headquarters in Area 11, Garki, Abuja.
The fasting and prayers are scheduled for three Mondays—June 16, June 23, and June 30.
