Liverpool Football Club has completed the signing of Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez for £40 million. The 21-year-old Hungarian defender has signed a five-year deal at Anfield.
Kerkez expressed his excitement about joining Liverpool, calling it a "real honour" and a "privilege" to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world. He promised to give everything to win trophies and score goals for the club.
The signing takes Liverpool's summer spending past £200m, following recent signings of Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen for £145.5m combined, as well as goalkeepers Giorgi Mamardashvili and Armin Pecsi.
Kerkez was a standout player for Bournemouth last season, scoring two goals and adding six assists in 38 Premier League appearances. To replace him, Bournemouth has signed left-back Adrien Truffert from Rennes for an initial £10.1m deal that could rise to £14.3m.
