Tech millionaire Elon Musk has announced his decision to ban hashtags from X ads starting June 27, 2025.
Musk announced the decision in a post on his X handle on
Thursday.
“Starting tomorrow, the esthetic nightmare that is hashtags
will be banned from ads on ,” the Tesla CEO said.
The move follows Musk’s December 2024 call to ditch
hashtags, supported by user reports of better reach without them.
Some X users have described the development as a game
changer, saying it’s a bold move for a cleaner and more classy feed.
