El-Rufai and Amaechi Have No Moral Right to Criticise Tinubu - Senator Shehu Sani

Senator Shehu Sani has accused former governors Nasir El-Rufai and Rotimi Amaechi of hypocrisy and political selfishness in their criticism of President Bola Tinubu's policies on poverty and hunger.

Sani claimed that El-Rufai and Amaechi were key contributors to the banditry and economic hardship facing Nigeria today, and therefore have no moral right to criticise Tinubu. "They are the architects of the banditry, poverty, and hunger they now pretend to lament," Sani said.

According to Sani, El-Rufai and Amaechi failed to solve these problems during their time in office and are now criticising Tinubu out of personal disappointment rather than genuine concern. Sani also criticised other former officials of the Buhari administration, alleging that they are working to undermine the current leadership after not securing appointments in Tinubu's cabinet.

Sani, acknowledged that insecurity remains a challenge in parts of the North, but insisted that the situation is better than before, citing improved security in areas such as the Birnin Gwari road and Southern Kaduna. He urged President Tinubu to intensify efforts in the North and remain open to constructive criticism.
