Abia North Senator, Orji Uzor Kalu, has said he does not
understand the opposition coalition championed by Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi,
Rotimi Amaechi and Nasir El-Rufai.
Kalu, who described Atiku, Obi, El-Rufai, and Amaechi as his
friends and brothers, distanced himself from the coalition.
Atiku, Obi, Amaechi, and El-Rufai are spearheading the
opposition coalition meant to remove President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
Reacting to the development, Kalu vowed to help the All
Progressives Congress (APC) and Tinubu to remain in power in 2027.
He spoke after visiting Governor Alex Otti in Umuahia, Abia
State capital.
Kalu said, “Atiku is a personal friend of mine, Amaechi is a
personal friend of mine, Peter Obi is my friend, brother, and inlaw; El-Rufai
is my personal friend and brother.
“So their coalition is what I don’t understand. What I
understand is that APC is on course and I have many triggers to pull out for
APC.
“Otti is my brother and he is doing well, I think from my
village to this place is one hour. I’m not into coalition, APC is the largest
party in Africa.”
