The former State PDP Publicity Secretary (2016-2020), and later Information Commissioner, under former Governor Udom Emmanuel, has resigned from Governor Umo Eno's cabinet following the governor's defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Ini Ememobong, cited his long-standing opposition to the APC and his commitment to politics with principles as the reason for his resignation.
The commissioner stated that he could not join Governor Eno on his journey to the APC due to his opposition to the party's platform.
Despite his resignation, the commissioner expressed his respect for Governor Eno and appreciation for the opportunity to serve in his cabinet.
The commissioner reflected on his history in public service, highlighting his work under Governor Umo Eno and former Governor Udom Emmanuel.
He expressed willingness to continue serving the public, stating that given another opportunity, he would do more.
Ememobong concluded his letter by expressing his trust in God and the future, citing the Bible verse that "all things work together for good".
