Former federal lawmaker, Senator Sheu Sani has urged
President Bola Tinubu to reject the renaming of the Abuja International
Conference Centre.
The Federal Capital Territory, FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike on
Tuesday announced the remaining of the facility after Tinubu.
According to Wike, the facility has been renamed “Bola Ahmed
Tinubu International Conference Centre”.
The Minister, who spoke during the inauguration, also
disclosed that other halls in the facility were renamed after Vice President
Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, House of Representatives
Speaker, Tajudeen Abbas, and Chief Justice of Nigeria, Kekere-Ekun.
Reacting, Shehu Sani in a post on his official Facebook page
said the facility was built by former Head of State, Ibrahim Babangida and
should not be renamed after Tinubu.
He wrote, “The International Conference Centre Abuja was
built by IBB. The President should reject renaming the place with his name”.
