Aregbesola has been a long standing ally of President Tinubu
but their relationship went sour during the build-up to the 2023 presidential
election.
Currently, Atiku is spearheading the formation of an
opposition coalition aimed at removing Tinubu from power in 2027.
The former Vice President met with former Labour Party’s
presidential candidate, Peter Obi and ex-Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai
on Tuesday night.
Confirming the meeting, El-Rufai said serious issues were
discussed, adding that the coalition will retire Tinubu to Lagos in 2027.
