Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani, has said no human being or technology is above errors.
Sani said the Registrar of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede should be forgiven after he admitted an error.
There has been a public outcry over the massive failure by candidates of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME.
In a press conference, Oloyede had blamed the error of mass failure on technical glitch.
He claimed that of the 1.9 million candidates who sat for
the UTME, over 1.5 million reportedly scored below 200 out of the maximum 400
marks, raising concerns across the education sector.
Reacting, the former lawmaker urged those affected to
“sheath their sword” following Oloyede’s admittance of error.
Posting on X, Sani wrote: “No human being and no technology
is beyond error. The JAMB Boss Professor Ishaq has admitted errors and sought
forgiveness and promised rectification.
“He should be forgiven and given the chance to redeem his
agency.
“It’s better than being arrogant, recalcitrant or looking for
scapegoats.
“He made mistakes but was humbled to admit it. The affected
persons should sheath their swords please.”
