The high-profile “sex trafficking” trial of Sean ‘Diddy‘
Combs, the US rapper, entered its second week with more witnesses testifying in
court.
David James, the rapper’s former personal assistant, also
took the stand on Tuesday, claiming that he frequently saw Diddy take drugs.
He alleged that the 55-year-old rapper usually took opiates
during the daytime and ecstasy at night.
James claimed that he also picked up drugs for Diddy and his friends, and often brought narcotics and other personal items like lubricant and condoms to his hotel rooms.
He recalled witnessing Diddy take an ecstasy pill shaped
like the face of a “former president.”
When prosecutor Christy Slavik asked which president, James
replied, “President Obama”.
Last week, Cassie Ventura, Diddy’s ex-girlfriend, took the
stand, delivering disturbing testimony about her past relationship with the rapper.
She testified that Diddy coerced her into participating in
drug-fueled “freak off” sex parties that left her with recurring urinary tract
infections (UTIs) and mouth sores.
However, Diddy’s legal team argued that she was a willing participant
in the parties, while showing an alleged 2009 text message of the singer
telling the rapper she “was already for a freak off” in court.
They also shared another text in court where Cassie
reportedly told Diddy, “I’m lost without you” while she was dating Alex Fine,
her current husband.
