The Super Eagles were looking to lift the trophy for the fourth time in their history.
Jose Peseiro’s men took the lead in the first half through William Troost-Ekong’s header.
But the Ivorians levelled after the break through Franck Kessie’s header.
With a few minutes left in the game, Sebastien Haller flicked the ball past Stanley Nwabali.
The Elephants have now levelled with Nigeria on three continental titles.

ReplyDeleteWhen i was told that Tinubu was going to be in Ivory Coast, I told my friends that that was going to be the end of the journey as far as winning that AFCON was concern. Although, he was not there but i saw another bad element of APC there, the VP. He had no impact on the players and so we did not win. The Ivorians were too strong for us. We kept absorbing every push from them till the final whistle. This is not Awa lokan
